Welcome to the newly rebuilt jamiedoris.com!

I have installed an open-source web-based CMS (content management system) called Movable Type. So far, so good. I had to do some extensive template editing since the default templates are pretty, but are everywhere on the web, and in addition, they are not at all usable for folks viewing the site through Netscape 4 browsers. I'm almost inclined to say "so what? Netscape 4 is terrible, that's what people get for using it," but I don't want to alienate anyone, and I think there are still a large number of these people out there. And as I peruse the web, looking at other weblog sites, especially those that are "powered by MT", I am dismayed at the vast number of them which are complete garbage when viewed thru Netscape 4.
This site is basically going to serve as my own personal web development and design playground, where I can put new ideas and experiments to the test. So, that said, watch out for occasional brokenness and random weird behavior throughout the site.
