Our Fine Education System

In the latest federally sponsored history test given to American High School students, only 30 percent of seniors correctly identified the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, better known as NATO, and its former nemesis, the Warsaw Pact. Less than half the teens demonstrated even basic knowledge of historical topics in general, and their younger siblings had trouble identifying events as fundamentally American as the Boston Tea Party.

But I'll bet they could all tell you the first name, last name, middle name, nickname, birthdate, address, school, and pet of every Backstreet Boy.
