Tv Tidbit #1
At the risk of completely ripping off an idea from our friend OddTodd, I thought I would share an interesting fact I learned on TV the other day. The MythBusters were performing an experiment to determine the validity of the claim that fecal coliform bacteria will appear on a toothbrush that sits anywhere near your toilet bowl given a bit of time. They carefully set up several toothbrushes around the bathroom and put the brushes AND the toilet to use for four weeks. As a control, they also placed two toothbrushes under cover in the kitchen, far away from the nasties that may float around during bowel movements. The result: ALL the toothbrushes, even the ones in the kitchen, contained a noticeable amount of fecal coliform bacteria. Stick THAT in your teeth and brush them!
