These days the necessities of life cost you about three times what they used to, and half the time they aren't even fit to drink.

Corporations RISE UP!!!

Congress is all set to pass a bill as part of Dubya's "frivolous lawsuit" initiative, which will put limits on CLASS ACTION lawsuits. You know, because those class action lawsuits are always so "frivolous". The only way you can get a whole gang of people to work, spend and sacrifice through a legal battle is if there's a lot of "frivolous" money to gain. Cases like Erin Brokovitch, 3 Mile Island, etc, were all so "frivolous". Thank Jeebus we have such a good bunch of people in Washington looking out for our best interests.

It's true that the class action arena is starting to baloon as a big business for lawyers, and I would be all for limiting the fee that the attourneys get, but this, in my opinion, is just another giant piece of corporate welfare. Ethical bastions like Wal Mart are loving this administration, because it continues to make them stronger, richer, more above the law, while it does the exact opposite for folks who actually work for a living.
