Some great prictures! I never get good underwater shots like that! Also enjoyed the sunrise shots-

Some questions: We will be leaving for Tahitit on Oct. 9th ret. Oct. 19th. We'll get to spend 2 nights in an OWB at Pearl Beach Resort Bora Bora; we have the shark feeding trip booked for our time there. Then the cheapy part of the trip is at the timeshare at Club Bali Hai in Moorea. Our last day will be a full day in Tahiti before the plane takes off at 10:30 pm so I thought we should take a safari tour of Tahiti.

What company did you use? Looked like you went to some great places in Tahiti (which I gather is underrated on the travel boards), Would like to book wth them.

In Moorea, did you go to any beaches outside the hotel since you had a rental car (did yu use the rental car the whole time? Would you recommend that?)

This is our dream trip and we've been to some beautiful places in Thailand, Hawaii and the Caribbean. I anticipate this will top them.

Congratulations! A great choice for a honeymoon!

Elaine --

I'm sorry to say I don't remember much at this point that will help you. Except to say that the safari tour was booked in advance as part of the package through Tahiti Travel Planners. I think we changed our booking the day before though, from a full day safari to the half day. I half regret this, because the full day would have been a lot more exciting -- the driver told us that the full day tour goes a lot further into the mountain/rainforest. But we switched because it was going to be our last day there and we wanted to do a few other things on Tahiti, like shopping. I want to say the driver's name was Emil? but im not sure of that. He was a tall skinny funny Tahitian guy with a pony tail who speaks very good English.

As for Moorea, we rented the car only for 24 hours. This allowed us to see most of the island, but we didn't really spend any time at the other beaches. Most folks agree that the beach at the Sofitel is one of the nicest on the island, and since we were staying there, we had no shortage of beach time. I would recommend renting a car for at least some of the time, at least enough to get to all the places on the island that you want to see. One day was enough for us; it's not that big an island.
